MY FAVORITE place could be everywhere. It could be shopping center, bookstore, restaurant, train station, museum, street, zebra cross, or traditional market. I love staying in place where I can see people. For me, seeing people is fun. People, even they don’t talk directly, they can tell us many stories about their life.
Traditional market is one of my favorite place. It doesn’t mean traditional market is the best place to spend money because the price is lower than supermarket (hihi), but traditional market is the best place where I can see (and learn) how people make money and connection.
In the traditional market, making money is about to wait. They can’t get the buyer suddenly. In the traditional market, seller should interact with people and so the buyers. It’s different when we shopping in the shopping center or supermarket. There’s no interaction between people to people as close as in traditional market.
These pictures was taken several months ago when I was in Yogyakarta. I was very excited walking through this people and moment. Traditional market in Yogyakarta of course different with the one in Jakarta. It has its own story, and I guess every different place will have its own story.
I believe as long as God create different people in this world, story among people must be diverse. As long as I can stand among different people, I can heard and seen many stories. In the end, staying in a place with (different) people is profitable. It’s not only because they teach me about the real life, but also teach me how to love, care, and respect to others.
